Potts and Chip from Beauty and the Beast make an appearance when the gorillas were making music at the human campsite? I do absolutely love this movie, a lot actually… But there are things that I do question every time I watch it. A lot more things happen and then Jane decides to stay on the island instead of going back to England on the ship. For instance, Tarzan taught Jane how to swing on vines. But the weird thing is, he can speak his name… Tarzan and Jane both teach each other a lot of interesting things that they have learned throughout their life. It’s funny because she can speak English, but he can’t speak it fluently since he’s always been around apes. I think it is adorable how Tarzan realizes that this “foreign” (I say that because she looks like him but he has never seen a human that he can remember at least) thing looks just like him. (Only because she gets lost in the woods I might add) ![]() Spoiler alert again: Tarzan meets the love of his life on the island when he is older – Jane. We watch him grow up through all of the stages of life – infant, toddler, youth, pre-teen, young adult, and then adult. (Pssst… Simpler terms: Here’s the part when Tarzan is found by the ape, the ape saves the baby from the cheetah, and the ape decides to foster the baby and bring him into the family) But! The mother ape hears baby Tarzan crying and she goes to rescue this crying baby – since she is mourning the loss of her own anyways. However, we see that one of the Apes got into a large fight with a cheetah…ultimately causing the baby ape to pass away. (Sorry to those who have never seen this movie, I’m spilling the beans) The parents try to build this monstrous shelter (on this mythical looking tree) for the three of them, but are later killed. That is crazy! Apparently they could not decide on how they wanted to start it, and they had two separate versions of the movie that they needed to bring together as one (Sofka,S).Īs many of you know, the movie begins with a pair of British parents, an infant and a shipwreck. Interestingly enough, “It took three years for animators to come up with the opening sequence” (Sofka,S). ![]() So I thought to myself, “What better time to refresh my memory than now?” I vaguely remember Tarzan being one of my favorite movies when I was younger, but I just could not remember why. When picking out my first movie to depict, I did not hesitate to choose Tarzan.
